Galaxy French Nails Tutorial

I'm super excited to share this galaxy french nails tutorial! If you love nail art but you work somewhere that frowns upon having fancy nails (WAH!) then this design is perfect for you! From far away it looks like a simple french, and up close you see the magic of the galaxy!
In this tutorial I used french manicure guide stickers I got from the dollar store but you could also use page reinforcement stickers. For polishes I used Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in Black Out and White On, NYC polish in Water Street Blue and a shimmery orange by Sephora By Opi that doesn't have name. So annoying!

tips & tricks

  • Take care when placing your sticker, it will determine the entire outcome of your mani. I placed a couple of stickers too high, and you could see my natural smile line after I peeled them off.
  • Skip the base coat! That way if you mess something up, or just want to clean up your smile line you can use a thin brush dipped in acetone to tidy up any messes.
  • Press the sticker firmly onto your nail, paying close attention to the sides where you can get a gap between the cuticle and the nail.
  • Try to treat the white as your focal point and work outwards with the other colors.
  • To create the stars use a dotting tool. If you don't have one try a toothpick, the back of a stud earring, a bobby pin or a pencil.

  • Still have some questions? Send me an email and I'll talk you through any problems you're having. Don't forget to email me a photo of your galaxy french nails so I can see your beautiful work!
